Digital Agency Plan: What Does the Account Earn After Media and Revisions?

Price agency work from retained fees and full delivery hours, then assign media funding responsibility explicitly.

A large client media budget is not a large agency margin. Separate the fee retained for agency work from platform money, then cost approvals, reporting and revisions and identify who fronts each payment.

Use the fee that pays the delivery team

Original assumptions, $ for one account-month. Agency fee is $2,000. Client media is a separate $10,000 planning stream with no agency markup. Delivery costs $30 per hour and account tools $150. The assigned specialist has 50 usable hours; firm overhead is additional.

The 60-hour stress leaves only $50 and exceeds the specialist's window by ten hours. Extra confirmed capacity or a changed schedule is required; the table does not establish the rate for that extra resource. Media volume does not repair the fee economics.

Funding responsibility changes cash without changing the fee

Assume the agency advances all media, base delivery and tool cash before client payment on day 30. Selected funding is $11,500. Collecting $12,000 then leaves $500, the same contribution as the service calculation.

In a separate timing case, the client supplies the $10,000 media amount before the platform charge. The agency then funds only $1,500 of selected delivery/tools until its fee is collected. That reduces the agency's advance by $10,000, not its service cost or profit. Use actual agreements and qualified review for client-fund handling; this is a cash comparison, not an accounting classification.

Define included revisions and approval deadlines before accepting a retainer. Cost actual specialist time and make any performance-linked fee a separate evidence-based case. The Digital Marketing Agency Financial Model links client acquisition, service hours, prices, staffing and costs in the broader agency forecast.
