Start with a useful decision
A guide should answer a specific planning question: what drives cash demand, what changes break-even, or which assumptions matter in a forecast. Research articles explain a method and the evidence supporting its use.
Examples should add a practical calculation, comparison or decision rule. A long page, polished wording or structured data alone does not establish accuracy or usefulness.
AI assistance and human responsibility
FinModel Atlas uses AI tools to help draft, organise and check content. AI can produce mistakes, miss context or misread a source. Its output needs evaluation against the article’s question, evidence and calculations.
Oleksii Ryzhkov is responsible for the site’s editorial direction. The byline identifies the accountable author and the use of AI assistance. It does not state that every sentence was written by him or that every article received an independent human expert review.
We describe a named reviewer, qualification or completed test only when there is evidence for that specific claim. Automated checks and AI review are not presented as human professional assurance.
Use sources for the claim they support
Our standard is to use primary sources where practical: company filings for reported financial information, official guidance for rules, and original technical or methodological material for definitions and calculations.
A source should support the statement beside it. A link on a related topic does not verify a forecast assumption. A source-check date describes that check; it is not proof that the source or article remains current indefinitely.
Dates and periods matter. Distinguish reported facts, derived calculations, illustrative assumptions and forecasts. Unsupported facts should be corrected, qualified or removed.
Make examples and limitations visible
Worked examples should identify their assumptions, currency, units, period and denominator. Figures in a teaching scenario are illustrations, not market benchmarks or a promise of results.
Tool descriptions should match the working tool and state its limits. A model overview does not establish that a downloadable workbook, tested spreadsheet version or purchase is available. Concept illustrations are separate from actual workbook screenshots and company evidence.

Updates and corrections
Changing a material fact, assumption or calculation calls for a fresh check of the affected content and its sources. A layout change or software deployment is not itself an editorial review date.
If you identify an error, send the page URL, the exact claim or calculation, your explanation and a supporting source through the contact form. Reports help us assess and correct the affected material. Please avoid sending a confidential workbook or private report link.
Keep editorial claims and purchases clear
An article should be useful before any purchase. Product availability, price, deliverables and compatibility need their own evidence; they are not inferred from an author’s professional profile or an illustrative example.
Read the actual availability on a model page and the separately identified merchant’s terms if a checkout is offered. No ranking, funding, investment return or business outcome is guaranteed by our content.
